Barchamped LLC provides a local venue-discovery application that helps adults find places to eat, dance, and party.
Information we process
- Approximate foreground location, when you allow it, to sort and retrieve nearby venues. We do not use background location or display your location to other users.
- A pseudonymous account identifier and the display name you choose.
- Ratings, reviews, venue recommendations, content reports, blocked-user choices, and saved places needed to provide the service.
- Basic technical logs used for security, reliability, and abuse prevention.
- Interactions with sponsored placements, such as an impression, open, save, or directions request, used to measure contextual venue and event promotions.
How we use information
We use this information to show nearby venues and events, publish community ratings and recommendations, personalize saved places, measure clearly labeled contextual promotions, moderate user-generated content, prevent abuse, and maintain the app.
Service providers
We may use Supabase for authentication and data storage, Google Places Platform for venue discovery, Expo for application build and delivery services, and Google Play for distribution. Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy practices.
Sharing
We do not sell precise location information or use an advertising identifier in version 1. Businesses may receive aggregate performance information about sponsored placements; they do not receive a user's precise location or private profile information. Public reviews display the chosen display name, rating, visit details, and review text. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users and the service, or as part of a business transfer.
Retention and deletion
We retain community activity while it is needed to operate and moderate the service. Users can delete their Barchamped activity and profile data from the Me tab. Legal, fraud-prevention, or security records may be retained when reasonably necessary.
Children
Barchamped is not intended for children. Users must be at least 18 years old.
Security
We use access controls and reasonable technical safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
